Privacy Policy

1. Overview

PetDock provides free, client-side pet calculators. All calculations run entirely in your browser. No calculation inputs or results are transmitted to any server. We do not collect personal information, create accounts, or store user data — except as described below regarding analytics.

2. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage — such as which calculators are most used and how visitors navigate the site. Google Analytics may collect usage information when enabled, including pages visited, approximate session duration, and browser/device type.

We do not use analytics data to identify individual visitors or share it with third parties for advertising purposes.

3. IP Geolocation and Regional Consent

Before enabling Google Analytics, PetDock uses IP geolocation to determine your approximate geographic region. This is done only to decide which privacy consent experience to show you:

  • EU/EEA/UK/Switzerland visitors are shown an opt-in banner. Analytics does not activate until you explicitly accept.
  • California visitors are shown an opt-out control. Analytics is enabled by default but you may opt out at any time.
  • All other visitors receive the standard analytics configuration.
  • Unknown region — if geolocation fails, analytics defaults to off until you make a choice.

The geolocation process uses Cloudflare's infrastructure to derive a coarse region (country and US state, where available). Raw IP addresses are not stored by PetDock and are not returned to your browser. Only a derived region label (e.g., "california", "eu", "other") is used.

4. Your Analytics Choices

You can change your analytics preference at any time:

  • Use the Analytics Preferences button in the footer.
  • Your choice is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and is never sent to a server.
  • Clearing your browser storage resets the preference, and you will be asked again.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

PetDock itself does not set cookies. Google Analytics may set cookies as part of its standard operation when analytics consent is granted. Your analytics consent choice is stored in localStorage (not a cookie) and stays on your device only.

6. Third-Party Services

When analytics consent is granted, data is sent to Google Analytics(Google LLC). Google's privacy policy is available atpolicies.google.com/privacy. PetDock has no other third-party integrations.

7. Children's Privacy

PetDock is a general-audience utility site and is not directed toward children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
